# Điều 3. Giải thích từ ngữ

Trong Thông tư này, các từ ngữ dưới đây được hiểu như sau:

1\. *Chất thải y tế* là chất thải phát sinh từ hoạt động của cơ sở y tế, bao gồm chất thải y tế nguy hại, chất thải rắn thông thường, khí thải, chất thải lỏng không nguy hại và nước thải y tế.

2\. *Chất thải lây nhiễm* là chất thải thấm, dính, chứa máu của cơ thể hoặc chứa vi sinh vật gây bệnh.

3\. *Thu gom chất thải y tế* là quá trình tập hợp chất thải y tế từ nơi phát sinh về khu vực lưu giữ chất thải y tế tạm thời hoặc về nơi xử lý chất thải y tế trong phạm vi khuôn viên cơ sở y tế.
