# Điều 1. Phạm vi điều chỉnh

1\. Thông tư này quy định chi tiết việc phân loại, thu gom, lưu giữ, quản lý chất thải y tế trong phạm vi khuôn viên cơ sở y tế.

2\. Thông tư này không quy định về quản lý chất thải phóng xạ phát sinh từ hoạt động y tế. Việc quản lý chất thải phóng xạ phát sinh từ hoạt động y tế thực hiện theo quy định của Bộ Khoa học và Công nghệ về quản lý chất thải phóng xạ và nguồn phóng xạ đã qua sử dụng.
